PICTURE DIFFERENCE

The sense of sight is crucial to our powers of observation and our ability to recall scenes in detail. This is a pair work activity.
Give one scene from each “Pair of scenes” to each student in a pair. Have the students talk to each other describing their scenes. Their task is to come up with as many differences between the two scenes as they can only through talking it over. After a specified time period have them look at the “Pair of scenes” together and add any more differences that they missed.

Modification:
Turn this activity into a game. The pair with the greatest correct differences is the winner. Be sure the students are not seeing each others’ scenes. They must come up with the differences only through talking and listening.

Follow up:
Have them write a story or description of their “scene”.
